375th Anniversary Celebration – We will have our Anniversary celebration during worship on Pentecost. The Rt. Rev. Wayne Wright (ret) will celebrate the Eucharist and many of our former clergy and members have already RSVPd to attend. RSVP to the office by May 20 so we can finalize reservations with the caterer. We will need a little assistance with setup and with beverages.

Parish House Construction – On Monday morning a contractor will remove the old railings on the front of the porch and install a new handrail and railing.

Grounds Clean-up – Thank you to everyone for coming out and lending a hand to clean up the grounds. Our 375th celebration service will soon be upon us.

Church Quiz – Over the coming weeks we will have a “Church Quiz” as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question: What are the benefits which we receive in the Lord’s Supper? Answer: The benefits we receive are the forgiveness of our sins, the strengthening of our union with Christ and one another, and the foretaste of the heavenly banquet which is our nourishment in eternal life. (BCP 859-860)
This week’s question: What is required of us when we come to the Eucharist? Look for the answer next week.

Formation Classes – This week we will discuss our first reading, Acts 17:22-31, “Paul in Athens.” Next week’s class will discuss our first reading Acts 1:6-14, “’The Ascension of Jesus’ and ‘Matthias Chosen to Replace Judas’.” All are invited to join the conversation in the Parish Hall from 9:15 to 10:15 am.

Sunday’s Psalm – This Sunday we will read Psalm 66:7-18.

Hospitality hour Sign-up – The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board; please sign-up for an upcoming Sunday. If you would like to help but cannot provide all the items for coffee hour/lemonade on the lawn any assistance, even a single item, will be graciously accepted.

Upcoming Parish Events – May 19 – Clean-up for Anniversary; May 20 – Back-up clean-up for Anniversary; 29 – Memorial Day; Church office closed; Jun 4 – Pentecost Sunday.

Thought for the week – Nourish: When we are gathered together for worship, our Lord feeds us, in various ways. Meditating on these things can help us to recognize the ways in which we are fed; and the ways in which we come to know Jesus.
