A beautiful celebration in Suffolk on Veteran’s Day weekend. We remember all who served faithfully, noting 13 flags flying in the graveyard and over half of those present as former members of the military. It was a day to welcome visitors and some who had been away for a little bit.
Worth reflecting that our lessons from worship. A key theme of the readings today was hope based on God’s providence, in good times and in challenges. We are called to remember that God’s timing is not human’s timing (thankfully). We also heard about being prepared and having hope, often knowing we are moving forward with imperfect information. Yet God relishes our action and devotion, even if it is imperfect. How are you called to step forward to bring hope in the midst of pain and suffering?
I invite your comments,
