Christmas Lessons and Carols – This Sunday, we will hold our annual celebration of Christmas Lessons and Carols. There are 3 readings that need a reader. If you are willing to help, please contact the Rector.

New Four-footed Neighbor – If you are by the Parish House you may be greeted by our new neighbor. Her name is Moxie and she is a Bernese Mountain Dog. She is loving but has a big voice, but the voice can be misleading. If she’s out, stop by and say hi to her.

Christmas Eve Service – Thank you to all who helped prepare the church for Christmas Eve worship and to those who attended. We had a good turn out with a number of visitors.

Greening of the Church – Thank you to all who helped decorate the Church last Sunday.

“Job Jar” – The Vestry has moved to create a “Job Jar” that will be filled with simple tasks that will help do simple maintenance around the church grounds. The goal is to break down needed repairs to 30-60-minute tasks that anyone can do. The jar will be in the Parish House or Sanctuary, depending on the day. Stop by and help do some needed work at the Church.

Church Quiz – Over the coming weeks we will have a “Church Quiz” as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question What are the topical divisions of the Old Testament? Answer: The Old Testament is nominally divided into 5 divisions: the Pentateuch; the Historical books; the Wisdom (or Poetry) books; the Prophets; and the Lesser Prophets (the Twelve).
This week’s question: What are the topical divisions of the New Testament? Look for the answer next week.

Formation Classes – This week we will discuss our Psalm, Psalm 147, “Praise for God’s Care for Jerusalem.” Next week we will begin a different study, yet to be determined. All are invited to join the conversation in the Parish Hall from 9:15 to 10:15 am.

2018 Flower Chart – The schedule for 2018 is posted in the Narthex. Please sign-up for your special days. If you have any questions, contact Lynn.

Hospitality hour Sign-up – The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board; please sign-up for an upcoming Sunday. If you would like to help but cannot provide all the items for coffee hour/lemonade on the lawn any assistance, even a single item, will be graciously accepted.

Upcoming Parish Events – Ongoing: Tuesdays – Boy Scouts meeting (returning in the New Year). Dec. 30 – Salvation Army luncheon; Dec. 31 – Christmas Lessons and Carols; Jan. 1 – New Years’ Day (office closed); Jan. 7 – Annual Meeting; Jan. 9 – Vestry Meeting.

Thought for the week – Revelation: If you find yourself praying for God’s guidance, God is guiding you already. The desire itself is a seed of revelation. God has caught your attention.
