It was nice to be back in the pulpit (as it were) today. Grandkids, visitors, and the faithful parishioners alike made for a wonderful and robust service. Nice end to an oft-times dreary month of April. We were energized to see and hear from folks who have been away for a bit and are back, ready to go. It’s not too soon to think about Pentecost and how we are evangelists of God and the Spirit to our community.

Scripture talked to us about abiding, loving, and being present for the bidding of God in community. We were reminded that God’s love doesn’t see boundaries nor does it fit our paradigm. We heard about God’s love being active, expansive, relational, and faithful; all of these, even when we don’t feel faithful, relational, expansive, or active. God invites us to love through our relationships. Where are you presented the opportunity to be a bearer of God’s love?

I invite your comments,
