A blessed beginning to May to you all. We pray that April has passed from view and springtime is greeted in earnest by the beginning of May. There are definitely signs of new life all around at church: a couple-three goslings to go with the myriad flowers in the yard. Today worship was a bit scarcely populated, but there was a storm brewing and there was rain and mud galore.
We begin to wind down our Easter journey with Jesus’ disciples and community following his resurrection before his ascension. God simply asks us to abide with God and Jesus by following their example. Our forebears weren’t ashamed to ask questions for clarification – look at Peter today “what prevents us from baptizing the members of this household (who have been converted to the faith)?” The answer is the same today as then, as long as we are honestly related to others and to God we will know the answer to our questions when we ask.
I invite your comments,
