Bishop Diocesan Search – The Diocesan Standing Committee is taking applications for the Search and Transition Committees as we call a new Bishop to lead our Diocese. Please see the link below for the application. Working on these committees will involve email, so it’s very important for you to submit your application electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please prayerfully consider your application, and together we will seek God’s will for our next Bishop of Southern Virginia.
The Search and Nomination Committee interviews and selects candidates to present to Standing Committee for nomination as the next Bishop of Southern Virginia. The Transition Committee’s key responsibilities include walkabouts, assist in the election process, ordination & consecration in conjunction with the Diocesan Liturgical Commission, and pastoral care of those in the process.
Poison Ivy – In our travels around the churchyard, we have located poison ivy in a number of places in the open. Don sprayed some of the poison ivy, but we found more this morning. It isn’t an issue and there is none in the front area of the property, but there is some at the tree line to the back yard.
Worship Experiment – In the coming months we will introduce portions of Enriching Our Worship 1 into our worship practice.
