Welcome to the second half of 2018 and our weekly celebration of the Good News in Chuckatuck. Summer is definitely here and yet it’s green and lush on the property. We have been trying new ministries in Suffolk and this past week has been a time to investigate and help with the “No Kid Hungry” program at the Suffolk Public Library. Our ministry there has been very rewarding and enriching. We celebrated and remember the meaning behind Independence and the implications of the day for us as a church and as a nation. Special Independence Day greetings to all.

In our worship we have been keeping our practice new and our ears and hearts open for the movement of the Holy Spirit. Our lessons helped remind us that when we work to share our relationship with God our failures aren’t failures; that God is able to sustain us and make our eager offering effective in ways we may never know. Our relationship with God is intended to help us live a life of faith, not fear; of conviction without judgement; and of power beyond imagination. Scripture reminds us that the greatest gift we give is the one we give, as long as we give joyfully and reverently.

I invite your comments,
Les+
