Building & Grounds Survey – Following worship on Oct. 21 we will gather to assess the repair needs around the Parish House.  All are invited to assist.

Bishop Search Questionnaire – The Search Committee has published a questionnaire will be open until Friday November 2, at midnight. Our responses will launch the search for the 11th Bishop of Southern Virginia. The questionnaire has open ended questions that we would like you to complete. This link will take you to the survey. You can also access the survey on the Diocesan website under Bishop Search. The initial section of the questionnaire collects demographic information and is required so that we can see if all segments of our Diocese are represented in the responses. Please do your part to help select our next Chief Pastor.

Fall Work Day – We have scheduled our fall work day for Saturday October 20th from 8:00 – 11:00 am. There are tasks that would be helpful for the Parish that do not entail working in the yard, including a variety of tasks in the Kitchen and other rooms in the Parish House.

Thought for the weekFaith: Faith is not first of all believing that certain claims or statements about God are true. Genuine faith presumes a relationship with God. It implies a radical trust in God, faithfulness in one’s relationship with God, and a way of seeing the world as life-giving and nourishing rather than as hostile and threatening.
