Community Thanksgiving Service – The Community Thanksgiving service will be hosted by Perfecting Saints Church of God in Christ at 159 Wren Road. The service will be November 18 beginning at 3:30 pm. Pastor Mary Anne Biggs will be the preacher.

Diocesan e-News and email list – Did you know the Diocesan office publishes information that applies across the Diocese on a weekly basis? Did you know you can receive these emails simply by signing up in the box on the upper right corner of the Diocesan website, All you have to do is enter your email address and answer a few more questions to complete your registration.

Bishop Search Listening Sessions – The Nominating/Search Committee invite all Laity and Clergy to come to one of our Convocation Listening Sessions. A summary from the responses to the questionnaire will be shared and we will be asking for your input. These sessions will help us to complete a vibrant and living profile of our Diocese. Supply Clergy – The Rev. John Baldwin will be joining us on November 18 to lead worship while Fr. Les is out of the office.

Vestry Election – It’s not too soon to prayerfully consider if you are being called to serve on the Vestry. At the end of the year we will have 2 people rotate off the Vestry, Anne and Leone. We’ve had one volunteer to help; are there any other takers? If you are unaware of the requirements to serve on the Vestry please contact the Rector.

Veterans’ Day Commemoration – This coming Sunday we give thanks for our veterans and will remember them during the Prayers of the People.

All Saints’ Sunday – Thank you to all who joined us for our All Saints’ Sunday celebration. We heard a good presentation by Boys’ Home in Covington and a surprise presentation by Mr. Tim Platek who will be here in the afternoon of December 2 for a 18th century worship service.

Holy Land Pilgrimage 2019 – The Rt. Rev. Jay Magness will be leading the Diocese’s second pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2019. The Pilgrimage will be conducted on March 7-18, 2019, is open for diocesan parishioner registration through November 15. After that, any spots remaining will be offered to anyone outside the Diocese. Formation Classes – This Sunday we will continue our discussion of “The Sermon on the Mount” (Matthew 7:1-29).All are invited to come together in the Parish Hall from 9:15 to 10:15 am.

Sunday’s Psalm – This Sunday we sing the portion of the Psalter together using a metrical version of the Psalter from A New Metrical Psalter by Christopher Webber as we sing Psalm 127 together. The Psalm will be set to Hymn 353, Your love, O God, has called us here, (Wareham)  from the Hymnal.

Church Quiz – Over the coming weeks we will have a “Church Quiz” as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
