Diocesan Bishop Search Prayer – Almighty and most gracious God, source of all wisdom and guidance, send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we seek and discern a shepherd for the Diocese of Southern Virginia. Inspire us with hope, hearts to love you and a desire to serve one another. Grant us grace to entrust you with the future of your Church and all things. We ask in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

Soles-for-Souls – Edward Jones is sponsoring a shoe collection drive.  The program sends gently used shoes to people in need overseas. Please bring your used shoes to church to help this worthy cause. For more information see their website: www.soles4souls.org.

Questions about the Episcopal Church and its Leadership – Over the coming weeks we will have a question about our Church and Leadership as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question Why was the name “Episcopal Church” chosen? Answer: The Greek word episcopos (επίσκοπος) means “bishop” or “overseer,” which is used because the Episcopal Church is governed by bishops.
This week’s question: Who is the head of the Episcopal Church? Look for the answer next week.
