Questions about the Episcopal Church and its Leadership – Over the coming weeks we will have a question about our Church and Leadership as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question: What are the four Instruments of Communion in the Anglican Communion? Answer: In the Anglican Communion, there is no one single authoritative leader. The Archbishop of Canterbury is the symbolic head of the Communion, the Focus for Unity among the other three Instruments of Communion, and the “first among equals” among the Primates of the Anglican Communion. The Anglican Communion is governed by three consultative and collaborative international bodies: the Anglican Consultative Council, the Primates Meeting, and the Lambeth Conference. Together with the Archbishop of Canterbury, these four institutions function as the Instruments of Communion (or Instruments of Unity) of the Anglican Communion.
This week’s question: What are the three levels of governance in the Episcopal Church? Look for the answer next week.

Altar flower Sign-up – There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex for sponsoring flowers for the coming year. Please help beautify the altar during your choice of two-weeks this coming year.

Hospitality hour Sign-up – The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board; please sign-up for an upcoming Sunday. If you would like to help but cannot provide all the items for coffee hour/lemonade on the lawn any assistance, even a single item, will be graciously accepted.

Upcoming Parish Events – Tuesdays through June: Boy Scouts (7:00 – 8:30 pm); Apr. 6 – Spring Workday (primary); Apr. 10 – Lenten Series; Apr. 13 – James River Rug Hookers; Apr. 20 – preparation for Easter.

Thought for the week Belong: There is no thing that does not belong to God. If we embrace this truth, then we too will belong to God: everything we have, and everything that we are, and then what’s left over after that.
