Sunday’s Psalm – This Sunday we sing the portion of the Psalter together using a metrical version of the Psalter from A New Metrical Psalter by Christopher Webber as we sing Psalm 149 together.

Questions about the Episcopal Church and its Leadership – Over the coming weeks we will have a question about our Church and Leadership as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question: When was the Lutheran church founded and by whom? Answer. Sometime between 1517 (the 95-theses) and 1530 (the Augsburg Confession). Martin Luther has been identified as the one who started the church, along with Philipp Melanchthon.
This week’s question: If the Lutheran church had a bumper sticker or motto, what do scholars say it would be? Look for the answer next week.

Hospitality hour Sign-up – The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board; please sign-up for an upcoming Sunday. If you would like to help but cannot provide all the items for coffee hour/lemonade on the lawn any assistance, even a single item, will be graciously accepted.

Upcoming Parish Events – Tuesdays: Boy Scouts (7:00 – 8:30 pm); Nov. 3 – All Saints’ Potluck; Nov. 7 – Knitting Group; Nov. 9 – James River Rug Hookers; Nov. 11 – Veterans Day Holiday; Nov. 13 – Village Garden Club.

Thought for the weekSainthood: It is our task as members of Christ’s Body to do the prayerful work of loving the aching, distressed creation he has come to save and transform—even when it lashes out at us. This is the exercise of sainthood.
