Sunday Worship – We will conduct a remote worship this Sunday in the Parish Hall for worship in response to the uptick in COVID cases and provide safe worship. We have also set up to live-stream worship on our YouTube channel at:
This will be the new worship plan for at least 2-3 weeks depending on the state of coronavirus spread. Each Sunday, the Rector and Minister of Music plus one volunteer will broadcast worship. Plans are being made to pre-consecrate elements for at-home Communion.

Vestry Election – David Gardner rotates off the Vestry at the end of December and we will need someone to replace him on the Vestry. Please pray about serving on the Vestry beginning in January 2021.

Communion for at-home worship – There will be consecrated elements for parishioners to have at home while participating in remote Communion services. Please contact the Rector to coordinate delivery of elements.

Kroger Rewards – Six St. John’s families have linked their Kroger rewards card to St. John’s. Every quarter, Kroger donates to the church depending on what you spent there. For the last quarter, St. John’s received $43.29 due to 6 households shopping there. Thank you.

2021 Pledge Cards – Please drop by the office to pick up your pledge card for 2021. It is an important part of the St. John’s budget process. Please submit your completed pledge card as soon as possible.

St. John’s YouTube Channel – As part of our practice during the COVID-19 Social Distancing time we created a YouTube Channel. For the moment, we share worship videos (both live stream and pre-recorded), but in the future we will connect classes and other offerings on the Channel. Our channel URL is:

Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website:

Thought for the weekPray: “Do not quench the Spirit!” Paul says. The Spirit, ever present, ever mischievous, is constantly trying to catch our attention. She uses all those human moments – joy, nostalgia, boredom, exhaustion, wonder – to tap us on the shoulder and say, “pay attention to me!” Our response, whether it’s with excitement or annoyance, is called Prayer. Don’t quench the Spirit – dance with her!
