Sunday Worship – We will conduct a remote worship as part of our response to the uptick in COVID cases and provide safe worship. We have also set up to live-stream worship on our YouTube channel at:
This will be the new worship plan for until the spike of COVID cases decreases. Each Sunday, the Rector and Minister of Music plus one volunteer will broadcast worship. Plans are being made to pre-consecrate elements for at-home Communion.

Vestry Election – Leone has volunteered to serve on the Vestry beginning in January. Are there any other volunteers to stand for election? Please contact the rector if you would be willing to serve.

Christmas Thank You – We received a note from Roosevelt thanking us for the Christmas gift. He and Catherine are appreciative of our gifts as we are of his gift and service.

2021 Vision – As we turn the calendar to 2021, I invite you to join me and the Vestry as we reflect on our vision for 2021 and beyond. Where do you see our Parish in one, three, five, and ten years? What can you do to help make that vision a reality?

Christmas Gift to Episcopal Relief and Development – The Parish gift to the Rector this year consisted of 1 flock of chickens, 4 goats, and 2 COVID relief kits. Our donation will be doubled and will make a big impact on people around the world. Thank you.

Communion for at-home worship – There will be consecrated elements for parishioners to have at home while participating in remote Communion services. Please contact the Rector to coordinate delivery of elements.

2021 Pledge Cards – Please drop by the office to pick up your pledge card for 2021. It is an important part of the St. John’s budget process. Please submit your completed pledge card as soon as possible.

St. John’s YouTube Channel – As part of our practice during the COVID-19 Social Distancing time we created a YouTube Channel. For the moment, we share worship videos (both live stream and pre-recorded), but in the future we will connect classes and other offerings on the Channel. Our channel URL is:

Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website:

Thought for the weekGift: Your own life is a Christmas gift from God to the world. There’s a lot of bad news in our world. Hear the news as a clarion call for what we are to be about as followers of Jesus Christ: to bear the beams of God’s love and light and life, especially to those who wouldn’t otherwise know it. In a dark place, even a little bit of light will have a brilliant effect.
