Today was a day to celebrate the mystery of God at work in the world and to remember we live and grow in community, often without realizing where we are called to grow. In worship, we heard stories of the complexity, at least from the human perspective, of God’s interaction with the world. How the truth God offers through relationship is extraordinary and enriching but not as we may expect it to be every time. We also heard about Isaiah and what he saw of God and the heavenly host when he heard and acted on his call from God. Isaiah tried, as best he could, to convey what he saw when he was in God’s presence. Not exact but good enough. The life offered in community with God helps us live in appropriate “fear” as we search for God’s presence.
