we live in the moment of the light of Christ come into the world.
In worship, we heard the story of Luke’s “Sermon on the Plain” with its blessings and woes; we heard Paul circle about resurrection, faith, and Christ and how if we say there is no resurrection then our faith is for naught. But, I think it is and was important to listen to the message told by Jeremiah today – change is coming and how we react to that change and who we trust to lead us through change is important. Our society drives this message home: Change will happen and we can either redirect the change to something manageable or we can get run over by it. Thankfully, Jeremiah reminds us that God is with us and will be with us even as we are “overrun” by the change that will come.
