Prayers for God’s grace to you as we begin our Holy Week journey. Please be blessed in your Holy Week journey.
In worship, we heard the Passion Gospel from Luke – the choral reading of which is always moving. Coupled with the Passion Gospel was Paul’s request to have the mind of Christ and Isaiah’s suffering servant story (part 3). In keeping with our tradition, there was a longer period of reflection following the gospel to ponder the gravity of that story. Although there is nothing to add to amplify the gospel message, it was worthwhile to look at Paul’s admonition to have the mind that was in Christ; how Christ’s presence brings reconnection with God and creation. But it takes the entire story of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection to make us complete and aware of God’s grace. How are you challenged to be the change you are envisioned to be by God?
