A lot of threads going on today: sometimes it is easy to be distracted by the busyness in the readings. Yet, our reading from Exodus came to light in a new way today. As Moses comes into God’s presence on the mountain at the burning bush, what would the impact be if God’s invitation was more than cleanliness; rather it was an invitation to stop and hear God’s plan? Sometimes that is what God is inviting us to do – to simply sit in God’s presence and trust the plan offered by God will succeed (because in the long run God succeeds). Jesus helps us see that we are still called to be steady on, waiting, listening, then acting, and trusting that God will succeed. And guess what… God does!
I invite your comments,
