In worship, we heard about Solomon’s dedication of the temple and Paul’s encouragement to prepare for the work of God in the world. In our gospel reading we heard the conclusion of Jesus’ parables about being the bread of life. Jesus challenged his time to live a changed life and to do the hard work of faith. We are encouraged to reevaluate how we do church and how we are related to God and community. The “problem” is it’s not “easy” to live a life of faith but it is rewarding for both us and our community. We are challenged to respond to Jesus’ question: do you want to leave? With the answer: to whom shall we go?
I invite your comments,
