Inspire us with hope, hearts to love you and a desire to serve one another. Grant us grace to entrust you with the future of your Church and all things. We ask in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

Questions about the Episcopal Church and its Leadership – Over the coming weeks we will have a question about our Church and Leadership as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question What do the following terms mean: piscina, prie-dieu, thurible? Answer. Piscina – A special drain in the sacristy which goes directly into the ground, used for disposal of water and wine remaining after the Holy Communion. Prie-dieu – French term for “prayer desk”; used in the chancel for dial prayer service, confirmation, and weddings, as well as at other times when kneeling for prayer is desired. Thurible – vessel in which incense is burned; also known as a censer.
This week’s question: What do the following terms mean: catechumen, ordinary, versicle? Look for the answer next week.

Hospitality hour Sign-up – The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board; please sign-up for an upcoming Sunday. If you would like to help but cannot provide all the items for coffee hour/lemonade on the lawn any assistance, even a single item, will be graciously accepted.

Thought for the weekHealing: Everywhere we look, we can see the ills of injustice: violence, war, addiction, abuse, racism, neglect, indifference. Many of us bear the oozing wounds from these ills, carrying around burdens that have been unfairly placed on us with no help in sight. In God’s economy, healing is on the way. When we put our trust in Jesus, holding out our hands and giving our burdens to Him, we will in turn be fed, salved, and nurtured back to the fullness that God has always intended for us.
