Sunday Worship – We will conduct a hybrid worship this Sunday in the Parish Hall for worship and have taken steps to provide social distancing and safe worship. We have also set up to live-stream worship on our YouTube channel at: https://youtu.be/XTX9V4uP0Nw.
            Please consider assisting with in-person worship by reading a lesson or the Prayers of the People. Lessons will be read from the podium and the Prayers of the People may be read from your seat in church.

Suffolk United Thanksgiving Dinner – Suffolk United hosts a Thanksgiving dinner for people in Suffolk. They are requesting one representative from the church who will be able to drop off our requested item on Saturday November 21 at the Lake Mead Park in Suffolk. Setup time for this year is 6:30-7:30 am. There is a flyer with more information.

Rector’s return – This Sunday, the Rector will be back celebrating Eucharist. There will be some minor limitations due to the recovery process with his shoulder, but he will be back and preaching.

2021 Pledge Cards – Please drop by the office to pick up your pledge card for 2021. It is an important part of the St. John’s budget process. Please submit your completed pledge card as soon as possible.

Treasurer Resignation – Susan has served as Treasurer for number of years. She has tendered her resignation effective January 2021 (although she will assist with the audit). To prepare for the transition, she will train an assistant for the remainder of 2020 in the procedures for the position. If you are interested in serving, please contact the Rector.

St. John’s YouTube Channel – As part of our practice during the COVID-19 Social Distancing time we created a YouTube Channel. For the moment, we share worship videos (both live stream and pre-recorded), but in the future we will connect classes and other offerings on the Channel. Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website: www.soles4souls.org.

Thought for the week – Salvation: Jesus was sent into the world “to seek out and save the lost.” And this is why we are sent into the world – to bring God’s healing and salvation to others, to let them know that there is love and blessing in God.
