Sunday Worship – We have reconvened for in-person worship in the Parish Hall as of March 21. We will simulcast Holy Communion at 10:30 for those who will continue to participate remotely. Please contact the Rector to pick up pre-consecrate elements for at-home Communion if you would like. The link to worship on our YouTube channel at: https://youtu.be/amM9Wv7JGPY.

Zoom Coffee Hour – Our next Zoom coffee hour will be on Easter Sunday. Joining information will be forwarded separately.

Kroger Community Matters Program – Every quarter we receive a donation from Kroger. This is based on the amount spent by people who have linked their rewards cards to St. John’s. From Dec 1st to Feb 28th, 6 families with linked cards have generated $40.53 to St. John’s.

Parish Workday – We will have our Parish workday/cleanup this Saturday, March 27 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. There is a variety of work to be done that does not require physical prowess, simply attention to detail. Please come join us as we spruce up for Easter.

Lenten Study – We will continue our study of The Way of Love: Life Transformed: The Way of Love in Lent Wednesday midday during Lent. We will use Zoom to hold the class and joining details and course information will be provided separately.

Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website: www.soles4souls.org.

Thought for the weekLament: About half of the psalms are laments. Lament is a cry of pain, a cry for help, and a cry of trust. As humans, we lament; lament is our prayer. Be stark and boldly real, naming your pain, fear, protests, and questions. Write them out, speak, draw, or act them out. Let yourself weep and groan. At the same time, remember and trust that you are being heard. As from the beginning, God hears every cry, even from the grave. As on the cross, Jesus, too, laments. Our God and helper grieves with us.
