Yet, our worship still reminded us that there was part of the Christmas story to play out. After 3 weeks of John the Baptist we got to hear the story of one of the more unlikely characters in the Christmas story – Joseph. Joseph is a bit of an enigma, he is very human and from David’s line yet he’s tasked to be “God’s foster father” by adopting Jesus. Joseph plays a big part in God’s story, just like we can play a big part in God’s story. Like Joseph we aren’t called to the limelight but we are called to do the right thing and to create fertile ground for God’s work to be recognized. How have you been prepared to make a difference in God’s story in your own quiet and unassuming way?

I invite your comments,
Les+
