This morning in worship we continued the enlightening journey we’ve had this Epiphany season (pun intended). In the past weeks we’ve heard about Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist (why would Jesus be baptized – he had nothing to repent of); and last week we explored the question of “what are you looking for” and the invitation to respond to God’s “come and see.” Today, we ponder the statement from Jesus to his disciples – repent for the Kingdom of Heaven has come near. Jesus called his society to realize the presence of God, not only in Jesus but in all people. We are called to do the same, to realize the presence of God and to act on the reality of God’s presence.

I invite your comments,
Les+
