In worship today we were challenged by our scripture. Jeremiah reminded us that God knew him (and us) before he was born and that God had endowed him with everything he needs to be successful for God. Even when he feels like he’s unfit to serve God reminds him that God knows the whole story. The writer to the Hebrews also reminded us that the life we live is both of this world and of heaven – not distinct from the other but building on each other. Because we received the kingdom and continue to receive the kingdom of God throughout our lives, all we can do is give thanks and remember that God has a plan for us and has equipped us for God’s ministry. Now is the time to do God’s work because we are already fully equipped – even when we realize we need to get out of the way to be effective for God. How do you know that what God has created you to be is enough? God’s presence helps.

I invite your comments,
