Happy and blessed Sunday to you, it was a fun day at St. John’s – four “grandkids” in the congregation and a Sunday to witness to the healing presence of God in our lives. A slightly larger gathering this morning, a little extra singing during worship, and a time for fellowship afterwards. It has actually shaped up to be a beautiful day, a bit breezy but the sun has been shining since worship finished this morning. Hopefully it bodes well for the coming week.

A recurring theme as we dove into worship and the readings for today. “Where are we supposed to be going from here?” An age old question and one that can be perplexing. We want to respond to the right invitation from God but have difficulty, at times, hearing the invitation clearly. How often are we stuck in fear that we might not be responding to God’s invitation? Yet our Bible story tells us that people have been suffering with that question for a long time; and the reality is we simply need to move forward faithfully and we’ll see God’s grace moving with us.

I invite your comments,
Les+
