Sunday Worship – We will conduct a remote worship this Sunday in the Parish Hall for worship in response to the uptick in COVID cases and provide safe worship. We have also set up to live-stream worship on our YouTube channel at: https://youtu.be/fpkk0WeaNMc.
This will be the new worship plan for at least 2-3 weeks depending on the state of coronavirus spread. Each Sunday, the Rector and Minister of Music plus one volunteer will broadcast worship. Plans are being made to pre-consecrate elements for at-home Communion.

Vestry Election – David Gardner rotates off the Vestry at the end of December and we will need someone to replace him on the Vestry. Please pray about serving on the Vestry beginning in January 2021.

Communion for at-home worship – There will be consecrated elements for parishioners to have at home while participating in remote Communion services. Please contact the Rector to coordinate delivery of elements.

I Christmas worship – Bishop Susan Haynes and her staff will provide a worship service for the entire Diocese on the first Sunday of Christmas, December 27. The service will be Lessons and Carols with Communion. More information will be published in coming weeks.

2021 Pledge Cards – Please drop by the office to pick up your pledge card for 2021. It is an important part of the St. John’s budget process. Please submit your completed pledge card as soon as possible.

St. John’s YouTube Channel – As part of our practice during the COVID-19 Social Distancing time we created a YouTube Channel. For the moment, we share worship videos (both live stream and pre-recorded), but in the future we will connect classes and other offerings on the Channel. Our channel URL is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2QWNHHKVPYpp8mKcveYd5A

Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website: www.soles4souls.org.

Thought for the weekDarkness: God often keeps us in the dark. We are not ready for the exposure light would bring. Jesus said: “I have many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now.” The darkness of not knowing can be a grace.
