375th Anniversary Celebration – Thank you to all who have RSVP’d for the Anniversary Celebration. We expect over 85 people in church and at lunch. It may be helpful to plan on being a little early for worship. We will need a little assistance with setup and with beverages.

Parish House Construction – We are grateful for the new railing and handrail on the front porch of the Parish House. Atlantic Shores heating and air conditioning began placing system components for our new heat pumps on Tuesday. They plan to be completed before Friday June 2.

Fans for the Balcony – Because we expect a full house next Sunday and that there may be a few folks in the balcony, we are looking for a couple fans that will be quiet enough to run during service. If you have a fan we can borrow please contact the office.

Church Quiz – Over the coming weeks we will have a “Church Quiz” as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question: What is required of us when we come to the Eucharist? Answer: It is required that we should examine our lives, repent of our sins, and be in love and charity with all people. (BCP 860)
This week’s question: What other sacramental rites evolved in the Church under the guidance of the Holy Spirit? Look for the answer next week.

Formation Classes – This week we will discuss our first reading, Acts 1:6-14, “The Ascension of Jesus.” Next week we will take a break from class due to the Anniversary celebration. All are invited to join the conversation in the Parish Hall from 9:15 to 10:15 am.

Sunday’s Psalm – This Sunday we will read Psalm 68:1-10, 33-36.

Hospitality hour Sign-up – The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board; please sign-up for an upcoming Sunday. If you would like to help but cannot provide all the items for coffee hour/lemonade on the lawn any assistance, even a single item, will be graciously accepted.

Upcoming Parish Events – May 29 – Memorial Day; Church office closed; Jun 4 – Pentecost Sunday; Jun 13 – Vestry meeting.

Thought for the week – Hope: Can you remember a setback, a disappointment or a loss that made you feel that all was lost, that nothing more could be done, that there was no longer any reasonable cause for hope? With Jesus there is always reason to hope. There is nothing – not even death itself – that can conquer or defeat us. “Do not fear, only believe.”
