Happy Ides of April and Tax Day to all. We pray you are well and on your way to relieving the tax burden with a remembrance of God’s grace. Bright and sunny on the third Sunday of Easter that is becoming windy and overcast. Yet, we know and remember God’s presence every time we gather to worship, share prayers, and hear scripture read. May you be blessed as April begins its journey into May.
We looked at the oddity of life: being human AND made in the image of God, called a child of God. We heard reflections of the falliblility of our human focus and the ability to either ignore or simply miss God’s interaction with us in community. While it seems odd to hear these stories just 2 weeks removed from Easter the reminder is important – we will only overcome our tendency to miss God and God’s providence by practicing and looking for God’s presence. The reminder of our state helps us remember the depth of God’s grace in our lives.
I invite your comments,
