Sunday Worship – We will conduct a hybrid worship this Sunday in the Parish Hall for worship and have taken steps to provide social distancing and safe worship. We have also set up to live-stream worship on our YouTube channel at:
Please consider assisting with in-person worship by reading a lesson or the Prayers of the People. Lessons will be read from the podium and the Prayers of the People may be read from your seat in church.

Vestry Election – David rotates off the Vestry at the end of December and we will need someone to replace him on the Vestry. Please pray about serving on the Vestry beginning in January 2021.

Updated COVID-19 Worship Guidance – The Bishop provided updated guidance regarding gathering for worship. The rector will monitor the percentage positivity figures and if conditions warrant, may suspend in-person worship.

2021 Pledge Cards – Please drop by the office to pick up your pledge card for 2021. It is an important part of the St. John’s budget process. Please submit your completed pledge card as soon as possible.

Treasurer Update – We have been granted a respite regarding our Treasurer until the end of 2021. Susan has agreed to continue serving until the end of next year. We will need someone to fill in by the end of next year in her stead.

St. John’s YouTube Channel – As part of our practice during the COVID-19 Social Distancing time we created a YouTube Channel. For the moment, we share worship videos (both live stream and pre-recorded), but in the future we will connect classes and other offerings on the Channel. Our channel URL is:

Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website:

Thought for the weekPrepare: The energy in Jesus’ teachings is about our being prepared: being prepared to die, but, in the meantime and more importantly, being prepared to live. You don’t want to miss a moment of it – your life – because life is so precious and it’s so fleeting.
