Questions to consider – (1) What gifts have we, as individuals or as a church, been given to share with our community? (2) Who do we have contact with that we can share our church with?

Relaxation of COVID measures – On Monday evening, the Diocesan Health Advisory Committee made some recommendations to relax most of the constraints we have observed over the last 13 months. The Vestry will discuss the recommendations and provide guidance following our meeting on May 20.

Red Cross Blood Drive – We had a successful drive. There were 21 people show up Tuesday and collected 16 units of blood. Thank you to Marcella for her assistance during the drive and those who donated blood.

Returning to the Sanctuary – As the Coronavirus pandemic requirements evolve, we will return to the Sanctuary soon. There are some logistics we need to address regarding internet connectivity and remote worship. There will be future announcements as the day gets closer.

St. John’s YouTube Channel – As part of our practice during the COVID-19 Social Distancing time we created a YouTube Channel. For the moment, we share worship videos (both live stream and pre-recorded), but in the future we will connect classes and other offerings on the Channel. Thought for the week – Deliverance: The experience of suffering is an unavoidable part of the human condition. And yet, even in suffering, we can look forward to the joy of deliverance. As the psalmist says, “Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning”.
