Sunday Worship – We will be back in the sanctuary on Sunday! Please join us in worship in person. There will be refreshments on Sunday (including watermelon). You will notice some changes, most notably the front door is still being repaired and audio/video equipment will be in place, but we will worship in-person in the sanctuary.

Bishop’s Open Office Hours – The Bishop and Canon Hoffman will have open office hours at each convocation visit. The hours will be 9:30 am – 11:30 am and 2:00 – 4:00 pm in most cases. It will be open to everyone (clergy and lay) and will be on a first come, first served basis. This will occur on July 7th at St. Paul’s in downtown Suffolk.

Kroger Rewards Program – We received $40.90 from Kroger’s Community Rewards program. This was generated by eight households with their Kroger rewards card linked to St. John’s.

Questions to consider – (1) What gifts have we, as individuals or as a church, been given to share with our community? (2) Who do we have contact with that we can share our church with?

Worship Volunteers – Thank you to Anne for reading last week during worship.

Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website: www.soles4souls.org.

Thought for the week – Bless: Remember Saint Paul’s saying, “Bless, don’t curse.” Cursed people don’t get better. Pray for love for the unlovable people in your life. Pray that they know love; pray that you know love. If you cannot love your enemies, start by at least turning in that direction.
