Rector Vacation – During the Rector’s absence we will need volunteers to bring the mail in and check the security of the Parish House and Sanctuary. If you are able to assist on any of the upcoming two weeks, please contact Don in the office.

COVID-19 Policy update – Based on the resurgence of COVID-19, the Vestry has adopted these measures for activities at St. John’s: (1) Masking, even for fully vaccinated people, should be worn. (2) Social distancing should be observed. (3) Singing should be with masks. (4) Coffee hour should be with individually pre-packaged food and drinks.

Parish House reshingling – The roofing company is busy reshingling the Parish House. With the weather delays, it is hard to predict the completion date but once they restart, there are probably 2 more weeks work.
Rector vacation – Fr. Les and Kathy will be on vacation following worship next Sunday, Aug. 8, and he will be back in the office on Monday, Aug. 23.
“Crab” and Brats – We are planning to have a “crab” (that looks like chicken) and Brat dinner for the Parish on August 29. Please standby for more details.
Meals on Wheels – Meals on Wheels Suffolk needs volunteers to deliver meals in Suffolk, Isle of Wight, and Smithfield. Deliveries are accomplished Monday – Friday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Sign up online at www.suffolkmealsonwheels.com. For more information contact 757-934-4911.
