School Supplies – Oakland Elementary School begins on September 7. They are in need of assistance with school supplies. Please contact the office to get a list of the needed items. Please return the items to the office as soon as you are able.
CAPS Fundraiser BBQ – CAPS is holding their annual fundraiser on Sunday September 19, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. There will be plates available with fried chicken, BBQ, cole slaw, hush puppies, and Mac & cheese. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased before the day of the fundraiser. Contact he office to purchase tickets.

COVID-19 Policy update – Based on the resurgence of COVID-19, the Vestry has adopted these measures for activities at St. John’s: (1) Masking, even for fully vaccinated people, should be worn. (2) Social distancing should be observed. (3) Singing should be with masks. (4) Coffee hour should be with individually pre-packaged food and drinks.
Parish House reshingling – The roofing company is busy reshingling the Parish House. With the rain and hot & humid conditions the completion date is hard to predict. But they are working slowly but surely.
Meals on Wheels – Meals on Wheels Suffolk needs volunteers to deliver meals in Suffolk, Isle of Wight, and Smithfield. Deliveries are accomplished Monday – Friday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Sign up online at www.suffolkmealsonwheels.com. For more information contact 757-934-4911.
