Christmas Eve Worship – We will have our Christmas Eve service at 3:00 pm this year. Please come out and join us for worship to ring in Christmas.
Christmas Lessons and Carols – We will celebrate Christmas Lessons and Carols on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at worship. Please join us to hear the story of Salvation again then to have our Annual Meeting.
Annual Meeting and Vestry Election – We will hold an election for two new Vestry members on Sunday, January 2, 2022, following worship. The Vestry election will fill the remainder of Leone’s term and fill for a term ending in 2024. It is expected the meeting time will continue to be midday in the middle of the week. If you are willing to serve, please contact the Rector.
From the Minister of Music – Dear Parish family, thank you for your very generous Christmas gifts. I hope your Christmas will be filled with much peace and joy. Roger.

Vestry Election 2021 – We will hold an election for two new Vestry members at the end of this year. The Vestry election will fill the remainder of Leone’s term and fill for a term ending in 2024. We have one person who has stepped up to serve. It is expected the meeting time will continue to be midday in the middle of the week. If you are willing to serve, please contact the Rector.
Advent Series – We concluded our study of Virtual Preaching Monks today. Thank you to Toni and Marcella for providing lunch this past week.
Pledge Cards – When will we stop accepting pledge card for 2022? Never. If you haven’t turned in a pledge, please consider doing so to St. John’s in the coming year. Pray for direction for our Parish as we move forward to our future and share our space with others so that we may be changed to a fuller image of God in Christ.
Questions to consider – As we consider where we are called to move after COVID, I offer these questions. (1) Who are we? (2) What do we mean to each other? (3) What does it mean to be together? (4) How are we loving each other? (5) What can we do to be together?
Parish House Roof – It appears the manufacturer is having difficulties producing shingles (worker issue not materials issue). The estimated delivery date is February 2022. The contractor will provide a more permanent (and visually appealing) fix in the meantime.
Thought for the week – Prepare: What’s gets in the way between you and God? What do you hide? “Repent,” the prophets invite. Admit pride, lust, desire for approval, neglect of others, the evil we have done and the evil done on our behalf. “Preparing the way of the Lord” means opening the door and letting God in to see us as we are.
