Leading Worship at Morning Prayer – Thank you to all who have assisted in leading worship in the Rector’s absence over the past three Sundays. Your tireless efforts and flexibility have been appreciated.
Blessing of the Animals – This Sunday, Oct. 9, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, the Rector will “set up shop” and offer prayers and a blessing of the animals for the community. The blessing will be held in the church yard. Bring your pets and animals by anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 pm to receive prayers and a blessing. Invite your friends for a blessing in honor of St. Francis.
Rector’s absence – The Rector will be out of the office Monday and Tuesday this week while at Virginia Seminary. He will be in the office Wednesday, Oct. 13 as normal. He can be reached on his cell phone in emergencies.
Worship Service Video – A post-production video of worship will be on our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoon. A link to the video will be provided separately. Our channel URL is at this link.

Ukrainian Relief – The Episcopal Relief and Development is gathering and sending relief assistance to the Ukraine. Please consider assisting with this call to minister.
Thought for the week – Struggle: God, I believe, likes us to struggle with God, for that is how we grow and become more fully the person God created us to be. The struggle is an integral part of the blessing.
