Blessing of the Animals – Thank you to all who turned out for Blessing of the Animals last Sunday. It was a beautiful afternoon in the sun and the guests and critters were enjoyable.
Let’s Talk Program – On Oct. 20, from 6:30-8:30 pm, St. Luke’s Church will host A Conversation about Our Heritage and Our Mission Today program on Zoom. It will also look at how those items shape our future mission. Sign up on the Diocesan website.
All Saints’ Sunday – November 6 is All Saints’ Sunday. In addition to worshipping in the Parish Hall (1st Sunday), we will have a potluck following worship. Please plan on joining us.

Fall Clergy Conference – Fr. Les will be at Chanco for clergy conference on Oct. 24-26. He will be available for pastoral issues, but the email coverage at Chanco is spotty.
Formation opportunity – The Rector is forming a group to go through the Sacred Ground curriculum from the Episcopal Church. The class is an 11-session conversation about Race and Faith. More information can be found at this link.
Sanctuary Rehabilitation – Dominion Traditional Building Group has begun work and is making good progress on repairs. They have started working in the crawl space this week and will continue working the exterior as weather permits. There will be opportunities to help monitor progress during their work.
Parish Hall roof repairs – Will be completed once the shingles are received.
Ukrainian Relief – The Episcopal Relief and Development is gathering and sending relief assistance to the Ukraine. Donations to Episcopal Relief & Development’s Ukraine Crisis Response Fund will help the organization and its partners continue to provide assistance to people displaced by the crisis in Ukraine. Please consider assisting with this call to minister.
Thought for the week – Family: Jesus creates a home with all the neighbors whom we exclude, those we awkwardly walk around and look down upon. We are one big family. We belong not because of our ability, agility, or pedigree, but because of our humanity, our vulnerability, our need.
– Br. Luke Ditewig, SSJE
