Matoaka Covenant – This Saturday, Oct. 29th, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, our Diocesan leadership will enter into the Matoaka Covenant with local Native American tribes at Camp Chanco. All are welcome to attend any or all of the ceremonies during the day. The discussion of the Covenant is available here and more information is available here.
Vestry Member – Marcella will rotate off the Vestry at the end of December. We need a volunteer to serve as her successor.

Suffolk United, Inc. – The annual Thanksgiving food distribution, hosted by Suffolk United, will be held as a drive through event, Nov. 19 from 9:00 – 11:00 am. behind the Kroger on Main Street. If you can assist, please contact a Vestry member.
All Saints’ Sunday – November 6 is All Saints’ Sunday. In addition to worshipping in the Parish Hall (1st Sunday), we will have a potluck following worship. Please plan on joining us.
Formation opportunity – The Rector is forming a group to go through the Sacred Ground curriculum from the Episcopal Church. The class is an 11-session conversation about Race and Faith. More information can be found at this link.
Parish Hall roof repairs – Will be completed once the shingles are received.
Ukrainian Relief – The Episcopal Relief and Development is gathering and sending relief assistance to the Ukraine. Donations to the Ukraine Crisis Response Fund will help the organization and its partners assist where needed.
Thought for the week – Boundaries: The purpose of boundaries is not simply to block things out for the sake of blocking them out. We establish boundaries for the sake of allowing something holy to take root and grow.
