Independence Day Holiday – The Church office will be closed Tuesday July 4 in commemoration of Independence Day.

Assisting Loaves & Fishes – This outreach ministry in Chuckatuck and Oakland is collecting items for their “Christmas in July” bag to be offered in July. Donations are being accepted in the Narthex until July 16. If you can help, speak with Marcella.

Our Chanco Staff member – We have been blessed to offer prayers and, if we feel moved, to send cards and care packages to Summer Staff member, Krystal Barnes. The biggest gift we can offer is our prayers during the camping season. If you would like to send her a note, send it c/o Chanco on the James, 394 Floods Dr., Spring Grove VA 23881-7927.

Worship Service Video – A post-production video of worship will be on our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoon. A link to the video will be provided separately. Our channel URL is at this link.

Ukrainian Relief – The Episcopal Relief and Development is gathering and sending relief assistance to the Ukraine. Donations to the Ukraine Crisis Response Fund will help the organization and its partners assist where needed.

Thought for the weekHealing: All too often we identify someone with their demons. As soon as we do so, we see only the things that they do wrong. We become blind to the person and, more importantly, we forget that that person is sick and hurt and probably crying out for help. These cries may take the form of self-destruction, isolation, and instability, all symptoms of a greater illness that needs healing.
