Sanctuary Air Conditioning – One of the two air conditioning units failed a couple weeks ago and the second is struggling to keep up. We are getting an estimate to replace the 32-year-old unit(s). We may have to shift worship to the Parish Hall depending on the weather. Please keep an eye open for news about our worship location.

CAPS Fundraiser – CAPS will have their annual fundraiser on Sunday, September 17. They are selling take-out BBQ from Captain Bob’s for $13/plate. Meals will include BBQ, fried chicken, slaw, hush puppies, and green beans. We have 50 tickets to sell so invite your friends and neighbors to buy a ticket to support CAPS. See the flyer on the bulletin board for more information.

Worship Service Video – A post-production video of worship will be on our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoon. A link to the video will be provided separately. Our channel URL is at this link.

Delegate and Alternate – We need to elect a Delegate and Alternate for Diocesan events in the coming fiscal year. If you are willing to serve, please contact the Rector.

Vestry member – There has been a resignation from the Vestry, and we need a volunteer to agree to serve. If you are willing to serve, please contact the Rector or any Vestry member.

Ladies Luncheon Outing – The ladies of the Parish luncheons will be on the 2nd Thursday of the month. We will try different restaurants. Please watch for announcements.

Thought for the weekSurrender:  When there is no way out or it appears we are at a dead end, our God continues coming to save. Moses says, “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.” God invites our still surrender, and when we cannot, we may find ourselves being picked up, held and rocked in safe, loving arms.
