CAPS Fundraiser – Thank you to all who supported CAPS with their annual fundraiser. They sold more meals this year than in any previous year.

Vestry Meeting – This month’s Vestry meeting has been postponed until Thursday, September 28, from 1:00 – 3:00 in the Parlor.

Small Church Missions Conference – Liberty Spring Christian Church in Suffolk if hosting a Missions Conference Sep. 29 – Oct. 1 at their facility at 4213 Whaleyville Blvd., Suffolk. Sep. 29 beginning at 7:00 pm, Sep. 30 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Oct. 1 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. There is a flyer on the bulletin board and on their website at this link.

Ladies Luncheon Outing – The ladies of the Parish luncheons will be on the 2nd Thursday of the month. We will try different restaurants. Please watch for announcements.

Thought for the week – Hope:  To be patient means to tolerate or endure discomfort and suffering without denying them. Feel the pain, express it, groan, and then look beyond. Trust that God is both real and active. Hope acknowledges the present suffering while also believing in what lies beyond it.
