Veterans Day – This year on Veterans Day we remember Shannon, Fr. Les, Bert, Clyde, Sheldon, Elizabeth, Marvin, Margaret, Jim, and Don. Thank you for your past and present service.

Questions to consider – As we consider where we are called to move after COVID, I offer these questions. (1) Who are we? (2) What do we mean to each other? (3) What does it mean to be together? (4) How are we loving each other? (5) What can we do to be together?

Pledge Cards – As pledge card distribution approaches, please consider how you will pledge time, talent, and treasure to St. John’s in the coming year. Pray for direction for our Parish as we move forward to our future and share our space with others so that we may be changed to a fuller image of God in Christ.

Worship Service video – A post-production video of worship will be on our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoon. A link to the video will be provided separately. Our channel URL is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2QWNHHKVPYpp8mKcveYd5A

Yard Upkeep – Please thank Charles Rose for cutting the grass in the “back 3 acres” of the property.

Something to Ponder – Do we invite others to join us to become just like us? Or do we invite others to join us that we might be transformed into a new creation in God? Your thoughts are welcome.

Vestry Election 2021 – We will hold an election for two new Vestry members at the end of this year. The Vestry election will fill the remainder of Leone’s term and fill for a term ending in 2024. We have one person who has stepped up to serve. It is expected the meeting time will continue to be midday in the middle of the week. If you are willing to serve, please contact the Rector.

Parish House Roof – It appears the manufacturer is having difficulties producing shingles (worker issue not materials issue). The estimated delivery date is February 2022. The contractor will provide a more permanent (and visually appealing) fix in the meantime.

Salvation Army Christmas 2021 – The Salvation Army Suffolk will be holding their Christmas drives. More information is forthcoming.

Thought for the weekParticipate: Kingdom life is one of participation. To not act is just as bad as to overtly do something wrong. What we do or don’t do matters. God gives gifts – we are to receive and use them.
