Red Cross Blood Drive – Our next Blood Drive is Thursday May 19 from 2:00 – 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall. Spread the word and help give the gift of life.
“Changes” to Communion – This Sunday we will reintroduce the chalice to Communion. There will be four options for Communion: 1) in one kind, 2) in both kinds with intinction from a separate chalice, 3) in both kinds drinking from a chalice, and 4) a blessing. There will be specific instruction during worship regarding the mechanics of this change.
Ukrainian Relief – The Episcopal Relief and Development is gathering and sending relief assistance to the Ukraine. Donations to Episcopal Relief & Development’s Ukraine Crisis Response Fund will help the organization and its partners continue to provide assistance to people displaced by the crisis in Ukraine. Please consider assisting with this call to minister.
Sponsoring Altar Flower – There is a signup sheet to sponsor flowers during 2022 in the Sanctuary. Please signup to help enhance the appearance of the Sanctuary during worship. Contact Lynn if you have any questions.
What does it mean to believe? – Belief is not something we think, but something we do: it’s the ways we experience God’s presence in our life; it’s the ways we engage with the scriptures and other sacred stories; it’s even the ways we question our faith. Cowley Magazine (Epiphany 2022)
Thought for the week – Evil: None of us are free of the influence of evil. But our celebration of Jesus’ suffering, death, and glorification in this Holy Week provides a sacramental and transformational means to experience the grace of divine love, which evil can never defeat.
