A double ending today: the last Sunday of May and the last Sunday of Easter. This morning and day were disturbed with sun, rain, and torrential downpours. Things are going well as we make the final preparations for our 375th Anniversary celebration and homecoming celebration next week. It is nice to continue to have newcomers and folks who express an interest in our life as a worshiping body of the faithful in Chuckatuck.
As we bring the Easter season to a close we listened to God’s and Jesus’ prayer for humanity and believers: that we will experience God’s glory and be united in God. As we reflect on the call from God we might wonder how to be united – especially given our (necessary) diversity. Jesus gives us a model – to pray. In our prayer we are assured that God listens, that we will be changed, and that our focus will be on God. How are you drawn to create unity for God?
I invite your comments,
