Greetings from Chuckatuck on the last Sunday in February and the next to last Sunday after Epiphany. We may have seen Noah, or at least one of his sons on the church grounds this weekend. But we slogged through and had a wonderful worship service today – grandchildren in attendance and a new family visiting. There was that unmistakable sound of life that comes from a young child (a little girl with her parents) and we pray for them as they search for a church home and pray that their impression of our worship and church family invites them to join us on their journey.

In worship we were blessed to be bathed by rich music and insightful scripture. Our reading from Genesis told the story of Joseph’s reconciliation with his brothers; our psalm reminded us to not fret and wait for God to show where God is leading us. Our New Testament and Gospel described the Golden Rule and how the life to come in God’s presence will be beyond compare, not simply an improved version of what we are but real life with God defined by the body God has in store for us.

I invite your comments,
Les+
