Lukei, Jr., Volunteer Research Associate at the Center for Conservation Biology, College of William and Mary, on Tuesday, March 26, beginning at 6:30 PM Social, and the presentation will be from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. The free presentation will be at the CE&H Ruritan Community Hall, 8881 Eclipse Drive, Suffolk.

Diocesan Bishop Search Prayer – Almighty and most gracious God, source of all wisdom and guidance, send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we seek and discern a shepherd for the Diocese of Southern Virginia. Inspire us with hope, hearts to love you and a desire to serve one another. Grant us grace to entrust you with the future of your Church and all things. We ask in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

Rise Against Hunger – On Saturday, April 6, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Oakland Christian UCC will be packing over 10,000 meals. If you wish to help, sign up at: http://events.riseagainsthunger.org/OCUCC. For more information contact Robert Fly at 757-509-2604. See the flyer in the Narthex.

Soles-for-Souls – Edward Jones is sponsoring a shoe collection drive.  The program sends gently used shoes to people in need overseas. Please bring your used shoes to church to help this worthy cause. For more information see their website: www.soles4souls.org.

Upcoming Blood Drives – St. John’s will be hosting a Red Cross blood drive on May 16 from 2:00 – 7:00 pm and Edward Jones will follow with a blood drive in July. Please plan to donate or to help solicit volunteers for both drives.

Formation Classes – All are invited to come together in the Parish Hall from 9:15 to 10:15 am. We will begin a study reflecting on the weekly lessons from the Revised Common Lectionary.

Questions about the Episcopal Church and its Leadership – Over the coming weeks we will have a question about our Church and Leadership as part of our announcements and e-News. All are invited to think about and answer the week’s question. Answers will be provided the following week.
Last week’s question and answer: Question: What is the Anglican Communion? Answer: An international association composed of over 80 million people in 44 regional or national churches all in full communion with the Church of England and, more specifically, with the Archbishop of Canterbury.
This week’s question: Who is the current Archbishop of Canterbury? Look for the answer next week.

Altar flower Sign-up – There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex for sponsoring flowers for the coming year. Please help beautify the altar during your choice of two-weeks this coming year.

Hospitality hour Sign-up – The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board; please sign-up for an upcoming Sunday. If you would like to help but cannot provide all the items for coffee hour/lemonade on the lawn any assistance, even a single item, will be graciously accepted.

Upcoming Parish Events – Tuesdays through June: Boy Scouts (7:00 – 8:30 pm); Mar. 21 – Knitting group; Mar. 23 – Boy Scout workday; Mar. 25 – Card Crafters; Mar. 26 – NRPA presentation; Mar. 27 – Lenten Luncheon; Mar. 30 – 5th Saturday Luncheon.

Thought for the week More: God will always leave us with space and desire for More. God is always greater. If God is not ever greater, then we run the risk of reverencing only the archives of our experience of God, rather than worshiping the living God who is always More.
