Updated COVID-19 Worship Guidance – The Bishop provided updated guidance regarding gathering for worship. The rector will monitor the percentage positivity figures and if conditions warrant, may suspend in-person worship.

Advent Study – While it is a little late to make a decision the rector hopes to have an Advent study to participate in remotely. Look for more information in the coming days.

St. John’s YouTube Channel – As part of our practice during the COVID-19 Social Distancing time we created a YouTube Channel. For the moment, we share worship videos (both live stream and pre-recorded), but in the future we will connect classes and other offerings on the Channel. Our channel URL is:

Soles-for-Souls – There is a collection box to help this worthy cause in the parish hall. Consider giving gently used or new shoes for those in need. For more information see their website:

Thought for the weekDarkness: St. John of the Cross says, “What are you really after? Do you want spirituality? Mystical experience? Nice warm feelings in your prayer? Or do you want God?” If you want God you must let go of all substitute satisfactions. To go into the darkness with faith, trust, and loving desire for God, however distant he may seem, can be one of life’s greatest journeys.
