All Saints’ Day – This year on All Saints’ Day we remember Shannon, Claiborne, Leone, Irene, and Marvin. Rest well faithful servants, your earthly journey is completed.

Questions to consider – As we consider where we are called to move after COVID, I offer these questions. (1) Who are we? (2) What do we mean to each other? (3) What does it mean to be together? (4) How are we loving each other? (5) What can we do to be together?

Vestry Election 2021 – We will hold an election for two new Vestry members at the end of this year. The Vestry election will fill the remainder of Leone’s term and fill for a term ending in 2024. We have one person who has stepped up to serve. It is expected the meeting time will continue to be midday in the middle of the week. If you are willing to serve, please contact the Rector.

Rain Gutter Installation – Please stop by and see the new gutters. They look nice and should help control the moisture problem in the Sanctuary.

Parish House Roof – It appears the manufacturer is having difficulties producing shingles (worker issue not materials issue). The estimated delivery date is February 2022. The contractor will provide a more permanent (and visually appealing) fix in the meantime.

Salvation Army Christmas 2021 – The Salvation Army Suffolk will be holding their Christmas drives. More information is forthcoming.

Parish House reshingling – There has been a slight delay in completing the reshingling of the Parish House. The first estimate for completion is mid-October to early-November.

Thought for the week – Communion: There’s something real about the communication between this world and the world to come, a kind of communion between saints and souls and sinners that spans the gulf of time. It is not just we who are praying, but we are being prayed for by a great cloud of heroic witnesses.
