Worship Service video – A post-production video of worship will be on our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoon. A link to the video will be provided separately. Our channel URL is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2QWNHHKVPYpp8mKcveYd5A

Vestry Election – Congratulations to Toni Davidson and Kathy Ferguson for their election to the Vestry. Please thank them for their willingness to serve.

In-person Worship update – Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Diocesan Health Advisory Committee has suspended most in-person worship. Exceptions can be granted, and we have granted one. Most of the requirements we provided to receive the exception are things we are already doing as part of our corporate life. We will observe masking for all who are at worship and practice social distancing. Please join us for worship or watch the post-production video at the link listed above. Hopefully, the greater vigilance will be relaxed soon.

What does it mean to believe? – Belief is not something we think, but something we do: it’s the ways we experience God’s presence in our life; it’s the ways we engage with the scriptures and other sacred stories; it’s even the ways we question our faith. Cowley Magazine (Epiphany 2022)

Pledge Cards – When will we stop accepting pledge card for 2022? Never. If you haven’t turned in a pledge, please consider doing so to St. John’s in the coming year. Pray for direction for our Parish as we move forward to our future and share our space with others so that we may be changed to a fuller image of God in Christ.

Questions to consider – As we consider where we are called to move after COVID, I offer these questions. (1) Who are we? (2) What do we mean to each other? (3) What does it mean to be together? (4) How are we loving each other? (5) What can we do to be together?

Parish House Roof – It appears the manufacturer is having difficulties producing shingles (worker issue not materials issue). The estimated delivery date is February 2022. The contractor will provide a more permanent (and visually appealing) fix in the meantime.

Thought for the weekBaptism: Baptism is about belonging and identity. When we know whose we are, we know who we are. We are “Christ’s own forever”! That is our truest, fundamental identity, which has the power to set us free. We already belong to God. Our struggle now is to become what we already are.
