Good Book Club – For Epiphany 2023, we invite you to join us in the Good Book Club study of Ruth & Esther. The stories of Ruth and Esther have much to teach us about the Hebrew concept of chesed, which means sacred kindness, as well as the willingness to be in sacrificial relationship with loved ones and our communities. For more information check the Good Book Club website. If you would like to participate, contact the Rector.

Advent soup lunch and Study – We will continue our Advent soup lunch and study December 14. The sessions will run from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. More information is forthcoming.

Pledge Cards – Pledge Cards are available for 2023. Please complete a pledge card as soon as you can, even if the amount is “whatever I can.”

Worship Service Video – A post-production video of worship will be on our YouTube channel on Sunday afternoon. A link to the video will be provided separately. Our channel URL is at this link.

Vestry Member – Marcella will rotate off the Vestry at the end of December. We need a volunteer to serve as her successor.

Formation opportunity – The Rector is forming a group to go through the Sacred Ground curriculum from the Episcopal Church. The class is an 11-session conversation about Race and Faith. More information can be found at this link.

Ukrainian Relief – The Episcopal Relief and Development is gathering and sending relief assistance to the Ukraine. Donations to the Ukraine Crisis Response Fund will help the organization and its partners assist where needed.

Thought for the weekDarkness: Let yourself be in the dark. Pray the questions and the longing. Trust that God withholds what you cannot bear now. Look for lights given in the night. Give thanks for twinkling grace.
